Dr Eva Siolo is a Polish board-certified plastic surgeon running a respected practice in Sandton, Johannesburg. Her reputation in theatre and in consultation rooms was strong, but her brand was still stuck in a different era. An outdated logo can quietly erode trust, making a practice feel less innovative than it really is. Dr Siolo wanted an identity that reflected her standing and gave her digital presence real impact. Our challenge was to create a professional logo and branding that captured her surgical precision, holistic approach and vibrant personality. For Dr Siolo, this was also personal branding – shaping how patients see not only her practice but her as a professional.
In healthcare, branding establishes trust and influences patient decisions. This project gave us the opportunity to redefine how Dr Siolo’s expertise is presented to the world. A professional logo and branding give patients an instant impression of authority, care and relevance. Dr Siolo asked us to keep her butterfly symbol, but beyond that gave us full creative freedom. We treated the butterfly as a metaphor for transformation, refining it into a mark that could sit beside her name. Every decision – from colour to type – was designed to signal credibility while still carrying warmth. The new brand needed to look contemporary on screen, refined in print and instantly recognisable wherever it appeared.

Our goal was to craft a professional logo and branding that worked at every level – in the details of a letterform and across the sweep of a digital rollout. The identity needed to resonate with patients seeking both expertise and empathy. We selected typography with bold geometry for clarity and weight. Colour was approached strategically: a palette that expressed her love of vibrancy yet held its ground in a clinical setting. The butterfly was elevated into a true brand device, an element with meaning and presence. Above all, the identity had to stay consistent across her website, newsletters and social media presence. Consistent branding trains the eye, which is why recognition quickly becomes trust.
Colour is psychology – each shade carries meaning and influences how patients perceive a brand. We developed three colour-led concepts: red for energy, green for renewal, blue for trust. Each was anchored by the butterfly, pared back to feel elegant. The final choice – blue – reflects calm, authority and surgical expertise, making it the right fit for Dr Siolo’s field. Her EVA wordmark was built with confident spacing and clean lines, giving her name presence across every platform. Once approved, the professional logo and branding were applied to her website, social templates and patient communications. The result is a cohesive identity that mirrors Dr Siolo’s expertise and vision.
